Finally, using their research material, students write skits in which the puppets speak Spanish and English.

The Latin American Mercado: Who Made This?
This lesson is designed to teach students about the mercado or marketplace, a basic economic institution in Latin America. Mexican Food
This lesson introduces Mexican food and the history behind it. The main objective of this lesson is to introduce new food vocabulary to the students. In addition, the students will also participate in classroom activities, make a menu of their own, take quizzes, and use the internet to practice the vocabulary. The students will apply what they learn in a Mexican restaurant, by ordering their meal in Spanish

Spanish Bingo
This is a great lesson for review. It is the same as playing Bingo, but you may call it whatever you wish and have the student call that name out when s/he wins.

Electronic Journals about Latin American Folktales
This lesson combines technology and research using authentic student-to-student dialog about folktales from their countries. Folklore genre provides the context through which students will learn more about Latin American countries.  Teachers will need to subscribe to an Internet discussion list intended for teachers seeking classroom partners for an intercultural email project.
