ESL Ideas
(B=Beginning, I=Intermediate, T=Transitional)
(B) Using lists provided by
the teacher, students highlight action and linking verbs in a
newspaper article or other written materials. The verbs may be
color-coded according to function.
(I, T) Students draw a picture according to a description written and
read by a partner. Then, using only the picture, students write the
description again. Students may also draw according to a description
from a text prepared by the teacher.
