Lesson Plans:

Dictionary Game
This flexible activity helps students learn and remember new words. After the teacher presents a new word (especially one to be learned in a new unit of study), students guess at the meaning by writing their own definitions.

ESL Ideas      (B=Beginning, I=Intermediate, T=Transitional)
(I, T) Students work in teams to define and write sentences with commonly confused words as listed by the teacher or other resource. 
(T) Students work in teams to use an Internet search engine to find visual representations of commonly confused words and create visual presentations for their classmates.
