Listen Up! Speak Up!
Students talk coherently in a formal speech to classmates to communicate information, ideas and opinions, organizing material effectively.

Effective Speaking in a Debate
Students improve debating skills by confronting stage fright.

Hearwaves
Students analyze the content, language, style, advertising and music of a radio station to ascertain the audience it is targeting. This is a complete unit, which may be adapted to suit time limitations.

Literary Fan Club
Selecting and researching an author, students create and advertise a fan club.

Outside the box
Students produce an e-story.

School-Room Squares Game Show
A "Hollywood Squares" style review game, for Literature, or any other subject

Rock and Rollin' With Oral Interpretation
Students examine song lyrics which they hear everyday. Students look for lyrics that have a common theme, or relate to each other in other ways.
