Language Mechanics: Distinguish correct punctuation - period and question mark
(COS 19/ SAT10)

Lesson Plans:

Classroom Newspaper
This lesson plan helps students learn about sentence writing and using writing mechanics that enhance and clarify understanding.  There are many other language arts objectives covered in this lesson.

Stop That Sentence
Students learn to stop their sentences with correct punctuation marks.  Students choose which punctuation mark is needed to write sentences in their journals.

Pumpkin Punctuation
Students will identify different end punctuation marks that are used in a book they read.  Then they will use those punctuation marks in sentences they write.

Resources:

Punctuation Paintball:  Choose the easy level to work on capitalization and punctuation.  It asks you to register for free, but you can click "maybe later" and skip that step.
