Create Your Own Grammar Exercise
Students will use cognitive reasoning to surmount a problem in language.  The purpose is to help students realize the importance of adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, and verbs.

Irregular Verbs
Students will recognize and familiarize themselves with the most common irregular verbs and how to form past perfect participle with them

(B) Using a list, students locate and highlight verbs in a newspaper article.
(I) Students locate and highlight verbs or verb phrases in a newspaper article.  Students may use different color highlighters for regular and irregular verbs or changes in tense. 
(T) Students practice conjugating irregular verbs and writing sentences using various forms of each verb.
