A Bear of a Poem:  Composing and Performing Found Poetry
Working together, students select words and phrases to create a collective class poem that they will then turn into a performance.

The Rain Came Down
Children will develop listening, observational, and language skills to recall story sequence and retell the story using cues from illustrations and knowledge of the storyline

Caught in the Act
Expose your students to a variety of media by viewing Beatrix Potter's "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" on the Internet. Students will put themselves into Peter Rabbit's place and discuss times in which they did not follow directions. They will then write one suggestion for making better choices on a bunny shaped paper.

Mother Goose on the Loose:  Teaching Reading and Writing in a Way That's Exciting
This is a set of lessons that implements and integrates nursery rhymes into the reading and writing curriculums.
