(B) Working from a list or example and with a peer,
students label the parts of an article or textbook chapter, such as
headings, subheading, picture, chart, map, caption, paragraph, etc.

Students utilize previewing strategies before reading a
magazine article such as reading the first and last paragraph and then
predicting the subject of the article.
(I, T) During a
read-aloud exercise, students write what they believe will happen next,
then share their answers with the class at the end of the exercise to
find who most accurate.
