Suggestions for English Language Learners:                   

ESL Ideas      (B=Beginning, I=Intermediate, T=Transitional)
(I, T) Students bring in notes from another class and organize them into an outline form.
(T) Teacher explains SQ3R study strategy (Scan, Question, Read, Write, and Review) for taking notes. Students scan the chapter and make questions out of bold headings; then read the text under the heading, write the answer to the question, and review questions and answers.  See
