Students identify specific characters. (ex. “Who is Sam?”, “Where did Sam go?”  “Why is Sam upset?”)
(B, I) Students complete a story map in pictures by drawing the characters, setting, and plot of the story guided by the teacher.
(T) Students complete a story chart by listing the characters, setting, and problem-solution steps of the plot.
(I, T) Students work in small groups to discuss and identify characters and setting.
