This lesson will enhance students' skills in identifying short-vowel sounds and words that contain a short-vowel sound.

Reading Everywhere with Dr. Seuss
Create a class book using PowerPoint.

Chapter Books in First Grade
This activity will promote the listening skills of the students and provide an exciting way to record a record of a chapter book.

Magic E: Decoding/Encoding with CVC & CVCe
Engage students in activities using CVC and CVCe words.  A computer is used in the assessment process.
