A Hands-On Approach to Teaching the DNA Structure and FUNCTION

Cracking the Genetic Code
To help students understand what the knowledge of DNA can tell us about ourselves and other organisms and species. Students will also learn about the systematic study of the human genome.

Candy DNA
Students will show how the basic structure of DNA is important in the process of DNA replication

DNA Scavenger Hunt
The code shown is the DNA code; students change the code to the m-RNA codon and then look up each triplet codon to determine the letter the coden equals.
