Virtual Field Trip to the Grand Canyon
Students will utilize the Internet to take a "virtual field trip" to the Grand Canyon to discover how it was formed, where all the rocks came from, and when it all happened.

"Shake, Rattle, and Erupt"
This thematic lesson plan will focus on plate tectonics and pacific ring of fire.

How Are Islands Formed?
This lesson will provide students with information about how islands are formed, including a basic knowledge of plate tectonics.

Plate Tectonics
Students will track current quakes for one week using the USGS Web site's Near Real Time Earthquake List to map locations on a world map.
