Lesson Plans:

Gathering Weather Information
Students use weather data and information found on the Internet to predict weather patterns

Weather Project
Students will use telecomputing hardware and software to communicate with a distant computer or an online service.  Students will also collect weather data for one week to exchange with another class.

Our City's Temperature
Take a twist on teaching temperature by allowing students to bring temperature readings from their homes.

Weather Log
This activity will help students develop the skill of recording weather observations.

Climate vs. Weather
Students will investigate weather data for 24 hours and climate data for the past 30 years for the same area in order to compare and contrast.

Collecting and Interpreting Weather Data
Students will collect weather data over a period of time to determine how weather variables are related.

Weather Journal
Using weather observations as the focus for their journal, they will develop writing techniques in addition to scientific observation skills.
