Travel Brochure of the Body Systems
In this Access Excellence lesson plan for grades 9-12, students produce a travel brochure for a tour through each of 8 body systems and a working model of one of the systems. Assessment rubrics are given.

Body Systems
Students will act as a team of personal trainers to design, present, and justify an exercise and nutrition plan for an imaginary client.  Students will also discover how knowledge of the body's systems can help people reach personal health and fitness goals.

Let's Learn About Body "Systems"
Students will describe "Why" the Systems are important

Systems of the Human Body
Students will understand that there are different systems within the body and that they work independently and together to form a functioning human body.

Human Body
Students will identify various human body parts and the functions of these parts within the larger system.

Putting Together Body Parts And Naming Them
Students will be able to understand what the body structure looks like and where the different organs are located within the body structure.

Organ Systems
The activity System Flash Cards is designed to have the students work in groups of two to four to match a system with its function and the major organs of that system.
