Grade 7, Science
Std #:
5 Identify major differences between plants and animals,
including internal structures, external structures, methods of
locomotion, methods of reproduction, and stages of development. |
|
Lesson Plans:
Bay Link
Students will examine
adaptations of plants and animals living in the same habitat.
Cloning Animals and Plants...Any Difference?
A reading comprehension activity
Desert
Adaptation-Water
When studying adaptations of plants and animals for life in a
desert environment, many concepts remain very abstract without
first-hand experience. Since it is not practical, in most
cases, to take students out in the desert and leave them, this
hands-on activity is the next best thing.
The Virtual Electron Microscope
Students will understand how microscopes have contributed to our
knowledge of life science and the basic differences between plant and
animal cells.
Habitats of the World
Students will understand that different habitats have distinct
features, and that distinct plant and animal populations are adapted
to the conditions of the habitat.
Learning to Give
Students will identify parts of a flowering plant, describe their
functions and compare their importance to the essential roles in a
democratic government.
