Introduction to Bacteria
Students will research how bacteria move, where they live, and how they reproduce.

Anthrax...the good, the bad, or the ugly?
It is important that students understand that anthrax is a bacterium, one of the few species that is harmful to human health.  This lesson provides an overview on bacteria and specifically addresses scientific facts about Bacillus anthracis.

Fun with Protists
Students will classify and identify protists found in pond water.

What's Bugging You?
Students will build on existing knowledge of microbes, focusing on the relationship between microorganisms and foodborne illness, as well as the implications that foodborne illness has on human health.
