Grade 7, Science Std #2.3: List the sequence of the mitotic cell cycle.

Lesson Plans: Sock-it-to-mitosis Students will simulate mitosis using socks, allowing students to act out the process. How do Cells Reproduce? This unit is comprised of activities illustrating the process of cell division, which will be related to the follow up lessons on cancer and how the immune system can be used to treat it. A brief review of cells and the functions that take place inside the cells will be conducted at the beginning of the unit. Phases of Mitosis Mnemonic device for remembering the phases of mitosis Mitosis: Chromosome Replication & Division Each lesson has six parts, including a biology lesson, knowledge mapping exercise, and glossary for students and for teachers, a teachers' guide for both the biology lesson and knowledge mapping exercise, and a table of persistent alternative ideas. Mitosis Students will learn the chronological sequence of events of mitosis and how to identify the stages of mitosis in a tissue.
