Lesson Plans:

Journey Through the Digestive System
Students learn about the anatomy and physiology of the digestive system and design and create a model that demonstrates their understanding.

Oh That Gross Digestive System
The purpose of this activity is for the students to get an understanding of the main components of the digestive system and how the system takes the food we eat and converts it into energy.  Adapt to grade level.

Food and the Digestive System
Students will learn about the digestive system and explore where nutrients come from, as well as their importance for particular tasks in the body.

Digestive System, a Kinesthetic Lesson
Students act out each digestive function of the organs, tissues, and cells in the tract as the food particle comes to them.


A Walk Through the Gut
Students simulate the movement of food through the digestive system from organ to organ.
