Lesson Plans: Making homemade plastic Students will use an acid (vinegar) to create plastic. The Difference Between Acids and Bases Using Different Indicators This mini-lesson is to identify and distinguish acids and bases; to identify the differences between acids and bases using litmus paper, pH paper and indicator solution. Acids/Bases Students will test household items to determine if they are acids or bases. Acids, Bases, and Indicators This is a multilevel approach to learning some of the common characteristics of acidic and basic solutions and use of some of the common indicators. Indicators for Acids and Bases Using red cabbage water, students will determine the pH of solutions.
