HS, Chemistry
Std 4.0:  Describe solubility in terms of energy changes associated with the solution process

Lesson Plans:

Solubility of Lead (II) Iodide
To determine the solubility product constant, Ksp, for PbI2.

Relationships: Pressure, Volume, and Temperature
Students will be able to state the relationships of pressure to volume and
pressure to temperature, and volume to temperature for a gas.

The Chemistry Of Colors
To identify the elements in common pigments used in paintings and to use chemical reactions to produce some of these colored pigments.

Finding the Velocity of a Fluid in a Confined Container
To calculate the velocity of a confined fluid given the cross-section area and velocity of another region.

Chromatography Of Plant Pigments
To extract organic pigments from a variety of vegetables, and calculate Rf values.

Boyle, Bernoulli and Charles
To solve problems using Boyle's Law, Bernoulli's Principle, and Charles's Law.

Solubility of a Salt
To measure the solubility of KNO3 at various temperatures and to construct a solubility curve.

De-icer
To examine the physical and chemical properties of sodium chloride.

Concentration vs Solubility
The student will be able to distinguish between concentration and solubility.

Solubility Curves
To show how the solubility of a salt such as ammonium chloride varies with the temperature and how to plot its solubility curve on the basis of observed data.

Resources:

THE SAME EVERYWHERE
Chem-4-kids periodic table.

Tom Stretton's Chemistry Pages
Great tutorials and practice problems

The Periodic Table of Comic Books
Associates each element with a comic reference - fun

Interactive Periodic Table
Created by an eighth-grade student!

Chemicool Periodic Table
This is an all-purpose, interactive periodic table that would be useful for high-school chemistry classes. In addition to general information about the elements, it includes the following: states, energies, oxidation and electrons, appearance and characteristics, reactions, conductivity, abundances, and more.

Pyrotechnics: It's Elemental
Some of the important elements that make a firework work.

Chem4kids
Great tutorials and activities.
