HS, Chemistry
Std 5.0: Use the kinetic theory to explain states of matter and phase changes.

Lesson Plans:

As a "Matter" of Fact
Students describe how matter changes from one state to another.

Change Of State
A series of exercises to teach the states of matter.

Characteristics of Matter
The objectives of this lesson are for primary and intermediate graders to examine the relationships among gravity, weight, and mass, the metric measurement of distance and volume, and density and its application to physical properties.

It's a Gas!
To compare some properties of different gases.

Learning About Matter And Energy
Students will learn and understand physical properties of matter and energy. Students will discover that some things float, some things dissolve in water. They will be able to discuss that energy can be changed from one form to another.

Polymer Project
Students will learn about polymers, their history, their uses and their recycling. Students will also have the opportunity to produce some polymers (slime and gluep) in the laboratory.

Resources:

THE SAME EVERYWHERE
Chem-4-kids periodic table.

Tom Stretton's Chemistry Pages
Great tutorials and practice problems

The Periodic Table of Comic Books
Associates each element with a comic reference - fun

Interactive Periodic Table
Created by an eighth-grade student!

Chemicool Periodic Table
This is an all-purpose, interactive periodic table that would be useful for high-school chemistry classes. In addition to general information about the elements, it includes the following: states, energies, oxidation and electrons, appearance and characteristics, reactions, conductivity, abundances, and more.

Pyrotechnics: It's Elemental
Some of the important elements that make a firework work.

Chem4kids
Great tutorials and activities.
