Std 2.3: Identify effects of fossil fuel by-products on the environment, including ozone depletion; formation of acid rain, brown haze, and greenhouse gases; and concentration of particulates and heavy metals.

Lesson Plans:

Global Warming & the Greenhouse Effect
Students will be able to test for the presence of carbon dioxide in a sample of gas.
Students will be able to compare relative amounts of carbon dioxide in different samples of gas by testing the samples in the laboratory.

Graphing Ozone

Climate and CO2: Analyzing their Relationship
In this lesson, students will speculate on various scenarios of future world climates if the greenhouse effect increases.
