                      7. Read and comprehend a variety of material.

                     13. Demonstrate appropriate listening and communicating behaviors.

                     14. Exhibit expanded vocabulary and sentence awareness.

             Alabama State Course of Study for Social Studies

1. Develop map and globe skills appropriate to developmental level.

2. Develop the ability to interpret and display information in graphic form.                    

10. Identify ways the natural environment affects occupational opportunities.

22. Compare transportation methods of families now to those used by families long ago.

 

Alabama State Course of Study for Technology

·Student use technology to locate, evaluate, and collect information from a variety of sources. 

·Students use technology tools to process data and report results.

·Students employ technology in the development of strategies for solving problems in the real world.  

 

Learning Activities:

1. The students will view Power Point presentation as whole group, with pauses for class interaction.

2. The students will divide into small cooperative groups to complete Kidspiration activities.

3. The students will retell the story of Johnny Appleseed.

                        Student participation; teacher observation.
