Modes of Writing

Focus of Unit: Writing

Rationale: 
This unit will focus on improving writing skills of students preparing for the Alabama Direct Writing Assessment.  This unit is important because it will assist in developing life-long writing skills.

Standards:

Curriculum:

·         ALCOS 19. Employ study strategies with increasing facility to gain information.

·         ALCOS 22. Write in a variety of modes to express meaning.

·         ALCOS 24. Organize content of written compositions with attention to basic characteristics.
