Practice Using Lively Language Here is a prewriting activity for biographies What Can I Write About? Students will read the work of professional and student authors then review the elements of a story. They will then write a collaborative story with other students, using randomly drawn characters, problems, and settings. They will illustrate and publish their stories. A Whale Of A Tale Students will research and gather facts about whales and use this information to create a narrative (story) with interesting and realistic elaborations. Bark/Meow, Purr/Snort - Oh, What a Voice! Students will do teacher directed experiences to understand voice in writing. Students will complete a narrative writing depicting two animals/things that are opposite by focusing on different voices.
