 Develop writing skills (COS 3 19-21)

1. Develop fine motor skills

  1. Manipulate various writing tools
  2. Use correct letter formation to write upper and lower case letters
  3. Use correct directionality
  4. Use appropriate spacing between words
  5. Write legibly on kindergarten handwriting paper

2. Express personal meaning through writing

  1. Draw pictures
  2. Scribble

  4. Write strings of initial sounds
  5. Approximate spelling
  6. Develop a collection of correctly spelled high frequency words
