It is almost time for you to start high school, and your parents have
promised to purchase a PC as a present. Unlike the 'family' computer, this
computer is just for you.
You must first demonstrate to your parents your understanding of computer
hardware and software components. (Your father is a hardware engineer and
your mother is a software engineer, you cannot fake this presentation!) You
must justify each component on the computer you want to purchase by
explaining its function and the reason for your selection.
This presentation is a persuasive display of your knowledge as well as a sales
pitch to purchase the best machine for your use in high school.
You have a budget of $1,500; however, if you can justify spending more,
your grandparents have promised to give you the balance. And if you spend
less, you get the difference in cash.
