Designing a Tour of Washington D.C.

The Task

In this WebQuest you will be creating a tour of Washington D.C. for a guest that you will be assigned  You will choose at least 6 sites to take your guest to as you tour the city. You may choose more than six sites if you wish.  Each site you choose should be chosen from the list of web sites provided.

Be a detective! Choose some of the tour sites based upon the guest's biographical information. How might you figure out where your guest would like to go?  Look at the guest's interests and hobbies. They are clues to the places that would be most interesting for the guest to visit.  There is at least one "target" sight that you should find based on the interests and hobbies of the guest. There may be several sights that would make sense for you to choose.

If there is a particular site that you believe your guest should see and has no real connection to their biographical information feel free to include those sites on your tour.

Your Final Product

Your final product will be a map of Washington D.C. that labels each of the six (6) sites you will include on your tour.

Each site will be labeled with a number.

On separate paper you will write a summary paragraph (five sentences) about what you will see at each site. Each paragraph needs to be typed and labeled with the corresponding spot on the map. For instance the map location labeled number 1 needs to be described in the paragraph labeled number 1.
