The purpose of this WebQuest
is to develop and fulfill the requirements necessary for integrating technology
within the language arts, mathematics, and technology curricular.
The student groups will work
cooperatively and individually, use the Internet resources, create a teen math
magazine, and conclude with a power point presentation.

This WebQuest was modified
to meet the language arts, mathematics, and technology curricular standards for
grade 8. This may be modified for grades
6 and 7. For a successful WebQuest,
students should be knowledgeable with the Internet and Microsoft Power Point.
This WebQuest was modified
to meet the Alabama Course of Study Objectives for mathematics, technology, and
language arts.
This WebQuest has been
modified for groups of five students.
This project should take no longer than two weeks, working independently
and cooperatively. Each group will be
assigned by the teacher so each student works together well within the group
setting. Each group will decide the role
assignments. Students should be given an
outline stating the tasks and the deadlines for each magazine piece.
Each Internet resource
provided gives access to information on women and famous mathematicians,
careers involving math, space and math, and general math help.
