Introduction

Can you imagine a Christmas tree with no lights or a Christmas song with no rhythm? The Christmas Music director has lost his special Christmas tree lights. In Christmas Village, music and Christmas lights go together; because the director cannot see his music without them.  Christmas Village needs your help to create Christmas lights to help them find their rhythm again.  If you can do this, you will all be invited to the lighting of the Christmas tree to hear the most beautiful Christmas music ever and receive a special treat.

Task

Now that you are working at Christmas Village you will make some new Christmas lights. Your lights need to be in a pattern. You will review what a pattern looks like, learn how to copy a pattern, complete a pattern and make a pattern with your friends.  You will also create a rhythm based on your group’s pattern.  Your group will demonstrate your musical pattern in front of the class. You will then place your lights on a Christmas tree.
