You are sitting at a tribal meeting of the peoples of Gaul debating if you should join Vercingétorix or Julius Caesar to unite the country.

 

You will be working in groups of two.

 

You will develop a PowerPoint written portrait of a world leader of the time. 

You will debate his leadership skills

Process

 

1.    You will get in groups of two.

 

2.    You will choose to describe Vercingétorix or Julius Caesar.

 

3.    You will describe this person physically and  morally (was he honest or selfish, etc…),  (10 sentences)

 

4.    Your portrait will also serve as a stepping stone to debate which leader was best at uniting Gaul.

Conclusion

 

 

Now, you can tell that France is a country that was not formed in one day and that, because of subsequent invasions or assimilations, the country with its language has been transformed. Throughout this WebQuest you were able to explore the Gallic wars and learn about two formidable leaders of all times.  You were also able to read, write, and speak French.
